The Talbott family of necktie fame founded this Carmel Valley winery in 1982. The focus is on Chardonnay from Diamond T Estate and Sleepy Hollow Vineyard, as well as a new bottling called Cuvée Cynthia, all of which are ripe, full-bodied, well-oaked wines that are consistently excellent; they are among the best not only from Monterey, but from all of California. The winery owns 549 acres of vines, with 339 acres planted to Chardonnay. There are also 100 acres planted to Pinot Noir, indicating that Pinot Noir may eventually be added to the product list. Worth buying and collecting.
