In
the mid 1970s when Gary and Nancy Andrus first visited a dusty trail leading to
a small frame farmhouse surrounded by a ridge of hillsides worn with cattle paths,
they knew this would be the new home for Pine Ridge Winery. Of course, in this
treasure was one of the oldest chardonnay vineyards in Napa Valley in addition
to the soils of Stags Leap District known as one of world's best sites for growing
cabernet sauvignon.
With seed money from the sale
of the Copper Mountain ski resort in Colorado, Gary and Nancy purchased 50 acres
in the Stags Leap District. | Search for Pine Ridge Wines to Purchase online |
