Founded in 1986, our winery is set in
the center of our northern Alexander Valley vineyards allowing us to carefully
tend each small vineyard lot from bud break through harvest. With a capacity of
12,000 cases, our winery is equipped for the production and aging of many small
lots -- an ideal environment in which our winemaker can craft his unique blends.
Alexander Valley has produced some of California's most acclaimed wines over the
last half century.
The Vineyards
The hot summer days and fog cooled nights make it the perfect region for wines
of character and intensity. This is what attracted Al & Sandy deLorimier to start
their venture here in the early 1970's.
The three Alexander Valley vineyard sites of deLorimier reflect the diverse nature
of the region. Our vineyard profiles range from steep rocky hillsides, to loamy
benchlands to gravel soiled valley floor. Specific rootstocks and varietal clones
were selected by deLorimier vineyard manager, Alex Vyborny, to bring out the unique
identity of each site.
