Wines was established in 2001 to produce outstanding Pinot Noir wine from the
Sonoma Coast of California. We are family owned and operated. David and Diane
Cobb, owners and farmers of the Coastlands Vineyard in Sonoma County, oversee
the vineyards producing our grapes. Business matters are coordinated by Stephen
Cobb. Ross Cobb is our winemaker.Ross received his degree in Agroecology and Sustainable Agriculture from the University of California at Santa Cruz and has been making wine for 11 years. He began his career as a wine chemist at Ferrari-Carano Vineyards and Winery in Dry Creek Valley, Sonoma County, where he also established a soil laboratory and winery research team. After working with Randall Grahm at Bonny Doon Winery, he accepted a job at Williams-Selyem Winery in the Russian River Valley of California as the enologist and viticulturist with Burt Williams, and later with their new winemaker, Bob Cabral. Ross joined Flowers Vineyard and Winery in 2000 where he is now Winemaker.
