Chateau
St. Jean is a winemaking estate located at the foot of Sugarloaf Ridge in the
Sonoma Valley near Kenwood, California. Founded in 1973, Chateau St. Jean has
prided itself on its talented staff whose expertise in selecting the richest vineyards
with the best microclimates, innovative winemaking practices, and tenacious commitment
to quality create truly world-class wines. If you have ever been to Chateau St.
Jean, you are familiar with the bounty and beauty which surround us. Renowned
author Jack London wrote about The Valley of the Moon, the shortened version of
the region's original name, given by the Wappo, Miwok and Pomo Indians who were
enchanted by the moon that passed seven times over the peaks of the mountains
as it rose in the sky.

production. We also own the La Petite Etoile vineyard, and have 80 additional
acres of grapes under long-term lease. The balance of the grapes is purchased
from independent growers, most of whom have been working with Chateau St. Jean
for several years. We have built our reputation for producing consistently high
quality wines around our single-vineyard series, reserve wines, and a mix of styles
which provide a winemaker with the perfect palette to allow full expression of
the desires for the individual wines. Likewise, if you have tried any of our wines,
you know that our winemaker, Mr. Steve Reeder, transforms our grapes into some
of the most critically acclaimed wines in the world. | Search for Chateau St. Jean Wines to Purchase online |
