Atalon has emerged on the wine scene with a provenance firmly rooted in the Napa Valley. The story begins with a ghost winery that sits atop Howell Mountain on a prestigious vineyard dating back to the 1880’s. Atalon was created to revive the vineyard’s past accomplishments and to build on the area’s reputation for producing remarkable red Bordeaux wines. To integrate the diverse flavors found throughout the Napa Valley, the wines explore the best districts for high quality Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot, including Howell Mountain, Mount Veeder, Diamond Mountain, Oakville, Rutherford, Atlas Peak and Napa Carneros. Under the direction of veteran winemaker Thomas Peffer, Atalon produces deep, plush, bold Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon wines.
